Just why do we eat a Yule log?
Well...before the medieval era, in winter, families would gather around the fireplace and burn huge decorated logs that were anointed with wine & salt. The ashes were used to ward off evil spirits and said to have medical benefits. This little bundle of chocolate naughtiness embodies Christmas but unfortunatley, we can't resist the smothered chocolate well after the day has passed!
